Effectively Treating Diseases with Fluazinam

Effectively Treating Diseases with Fluazinam

Fluazinam is a triazole fungicide known for its high efficiency, low toxicity, broad spectrum, and systemic action. It is widely used to control various fungal diseases in crops. Let's explore its effectiveness and usage.

What Diseases Does Fluazinam Treat Well?

Fluazinam is particularly effective when used during the initial stages of disease development. It can control diseases such as:

  • Black spot, anthracnose, cercospora leaf spot, powdery mildew, downy mildew, black rot, white rot, rust, and leaf spot in crops like grapes, pears, apples, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, and tobacco.

  • It is highly effective against pear black spot, apple scab, grape black rot, grape white rot, cucumber black spot, cucumber powdery mildew, tomato downy mildew, bean powdery mildew, and tobacco brown spot.

How to Use Fluazinam?

Step-by-Step Usage of Fluazinam

1. Controlling Pear Black Spot

Apply at the onset of the disease, spray every 7-10 days, 4-6 times in total. Use 40% fluazinam emulsion at an effective dosage of 40-50 mg/L (8000-10000 times dilution) per spray to effectively control pear black spot and also manage pear scab.

2. Controlling Apple, Citrus, and Jujube Black Spot

Apply at the onset of the disease, spray every 7-10 days, 4-6 times in total. Use either 20% fluazinam + dimethomorph 1500-2000 times dilution, or 40% fluazinam emulsion at an effective dosage of 40-50 mg/L (8000-10000 times dilution) per spray to effectively control black spot.

3. Controlling Apple Ring Spot

Apply at the onset of the disease using 40% fluazinam emulsion at 8000 times dilution for spraying. It has a strong inhibitory effect on apple ring spot.

4. Controlling Banana Diseases

Apply at the onset of the disease to control diseases like banana leaf spot, brown edge gray spot, anthracnose, black spot, black stripe leaf spot, and yellow stripe leaf spot. Use fluazinam diluted at 3000-4000 times for spraying.

5. Controlling Tomato Late Blight and Tomato Powdery Mildew

Apply at the onset of the disease using 40% fluazinam emulsion at 8000 times dilution for spraying.

6. Controlling Powdery Mildew in Melons such as Cantaloupe, Watermelon, and Pumpkin

Apply at the onset of the disease using 40% fluazinam emulsion at 6000-8000 times dilution for spraying every 10 days, 2-4 times in total. Achieve a comprehensive control effect of over 90%.

7. Controlling Corn Diseases

Apply at the onset of the disease to control diseases like corn leaf blight, stem rot, stalk rot, black ear disease, smut, rust, and red mold. Use 40% fluazinam emulsion at 7000 times dilution for spraying, achieving over 70% effectiveness.

Important Considerations

Fluazinam is highly effective against various crop diseases, but it's important to avoid using it more than 4 times within the same growing season to prevent resistance development.
